At Manchester Histories, we are collecting and mapping stories and memories inspired by objects and images that you have from Belle Vue and we'd like you to add your details here. Anything you add will be made available to the public through the Manchester Histories Festival website from mid-March showing how the image and item link with Belle Vue, where it is now, and why it's important to you.
It could be a picture of the programme from the night you watched World Champion Peter Craven ride at Belle Vue speedway, or a photo of you sneaking a kiss on the Bobs with your new partner.
The project will also show where you can go and see items from Belle Vue held in libraries, archives and museums across the country. So please share your memories and tales with us, helping to celebrate and demonstrate the deep meaning and importance that Belle Vue held, and still holds, in the lives and hearts of the millions of people who worked at and visited the site.
If you have any questions about the project or want assistance in completing the form, please email us at bellevue@manchesterhistories.co.uk or call 0161 306 1982 .
Please upload your photos in JPEG format (most cameras and phones take pictures in this format).
Images should be at least 1,000 pixels square (1 MP) - most cameras and phones take pictures much larger than this, so no need to resize them first.
Each image should be no bigger than 7MB in size.
